elevate wellbeing programmes 〰️
We support young people to thrive by giving them the tools and confidence to work through their challenges. Our Elevate Wellbeing Team is well-equipped to engage young people and their whānau with holistic support and advocacy.
With a young person’s permission, we are able to support the wider family/home life. We run courses like Building Awesome Whānau (The Parenting Place) and can help connect you with other services.

Elevate Wellbeing Programmes
Free Counselling: Young people aged 7-24 years, can contact us for free counselling. Our professional counsellor works one-on-one with the young person, and (with the young person’s consent) can also equip whānau with tools to create consistent support. Occasionally there may be a wait-list for access to this programme.
Family & Youth Advocacy: For young people and their whānau who need additional support, someone to talk to, parenting help, or assistance in navigating available support.
Social Worker in School: We have a Social Worker based at Wellsford Primary School, working directly to support students and their whānau. This support is only available through Wellsford School.
Community mentoring: Our community mentors are trained and vetted, and commit 2 hours a week for one year to a young person. Our community mentors simply share life, from fishing to scrapbooking, our mentors open up their life to a young person, and become a consistent, reliable adult in the young person’s world. If you’d like to be a mentor, get in touch with us. If you’d like to recommend a young person (aged 8-13years), let us know - there is a wait-list for this programme.
Youth Justice mentoring: Our team works with young people who are engaged in the justice system. We have opportunities to outwork community service hours here on site with our Youth Justice mentor. We work closely with the police and Oranga Tamariki to ensure wrap-around support for our young people, encouraging them to make positive choices.
