Three people are at a construction site, two men and a woman, all wearing high visibility safety vests. The woman is smiling and standing behind a wheelbarrow filled with concrete, while one man is wearing sunglasses and orange work overalls, and the other man is flexing his arms and looking excited. Impact Alternative Education is for young people aged 13-15 years for whom mainstream education is not an option.

Referral must come via your school.

Impact rangatahi have the opportunity to earn Duke of Edinburgh awards, increase their literacy and numeracy and volunteer in the community. Learning is practical. For example, budgeting and planning is taught through organising an overnight camp.

Impact is highly relational, and our initial focus is on building healthy relationships and positive interactions.

We know that young people spending time with positive role models, in a place where they belong and can engage in purposeful activities, creates change. We build hope for the future, and create opportunities for our young people to increase their confidence, resilience and integrity.
