BOARD CHAIR

Mark is a seasoned businessman with a depth of experience that ranges from nurturing local businesses to providing strategic guidance for global corporations. His fervour for business is matched by an innate passion to cultivate and mentor emerging leaders, ensuring they are equipped to navigate the complexities of today’s business environment.

TRUSTEE

Lauren has 20+ years experience in the interior design industry, launching into the commercial/hospitality arena designing 2 cafes and 1 cooking school within her first year as a designer. Her commercial arm of design has been strong, creating collective workspaces, TV Studios and corporate offices. As a business owner and working alongside her filmmaker husband, she has learnt to develop and work with people from all walks of life.

Her love and passion for people is what has guided her to journey with Springboard. As a young girl growing up in South Auckland, her life experiences and learnings along the way, have marked her with an indelible heart for people and a passion to champion them into a great future for themselves. He Tangata!

TRUSTEE

Driven by a commitment to making a difference, Moana is a strong advocate for young people, women and families. Her creative thinking and desire to take action have seen her become well-known in our community as an event coordinator, creating family fund days, sports events and the annual Snells Beach Christmas Day Lunch. Her work in our local college provides her with a deep insight into the challenges our young people face today, and she brings the influence of her own journey with Springboard to our Board.

TRUSTEE

Rod brings a strong background as a Chartered Accountant to our Board, with experience in family business, insurance and investment companies and specialisation in private equity investments.

Joining the Springboard Board of Trustees, he also adds governance experience, having served as both a board member and the Chair of Scripture Union NZ, including its bookshop operation.

First attending a Springboard Fund A Brighter Future dinner in 2019, Rod was impressed by the passion of the leaders and the difference they are making in the lives of many young people. With his own passion to see young people thriving in positive environments Rod is keen to assist the Board in developing opportunities in a sustainable way.

Rod and his wife, Shona, live in Snells Beach and have 3 adult children. 

When he’s not serving Springboard, you’ll probably find Rod out on the water, taking every opportunity to sail the beautiful waters of this region.
