Driver Licensing and Training
Enabling people to obtain their Learners, Restricted and Full drivers licences.
The Driving Academy team operates in a friendly and professional manner in order to alleviate stress and anxiety which is often the largest hurdle to those trying to obtain their licences. We provide an environment which is non-pressured and is conducive to learning and achieving positive outcomes.
The service is available for anyone who meets the following criteria:
- On a benefit
- Aged 16 – 24 and unemployed ( or have been for long or frequent periods)
- Māori or Pasifika
- A solo parent
- Living rurally
- On a Learners licence for four years or more
- A Refugee or recent migrant
- Having health conditions or do you have a disability
- Having numeracy or literacy challenges
